Tucked between the tides is a rocky ledge where seals abound. Hauling out at low tide these near mythical creatures then ride the swells back to the sea when the water begins to rise. Growing up, we used to putter out in our small boat to this special place and catch glimpses of this rhythmic process. Our Halfway Rock quilt captures the magic of these ledges through its simplicity and playful colorway. All the while, the design is reminiscent of intertidal ledges, which exist both above and below the sea. Sizes: Little (38" x 44") Throw (58" x 68") Twin (70" x 90")* Queen (90" x 90")* King (100" x 100")* *Please note, in these sizes the design ratio will vary slightly to accommodate bed sizing. Materials: Cotton fabrics, cotton batting and cotton thread. Colors: Snow background alongside ice blue, sea foam, light ochre, and deep mauve accents. Hanging Sleeve: Add a hanging sleeve to any size quilt for easy wall display. Simply slide a wooden dowel through the sleeve and hang on a nail or hanger of choice. Since the hanging sleeve is made from the backing fabric, when not on display, the quilt is still usable. Care: Machine wash cold on delicate and tumble dry low for a crinkly texture or lay flat to dry for a smoother finish. A warm iron may be used to press out wrinkles. Production: Each quilt is handmade to order in our studio in Maine, quilted by our partners in New Hampshire and returns to our studio for finishing: please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
