Each piece is individ ually carved, numbered and shaped entirely by hand by Nakahara Keiho-san in his small family workshop in Japan. Because every carving is made slowly and intentionally, no two are ever the same - each one is numbered and carries its own character, grain, and the natural camphor fragrance of Kusunoki wood. Over time, the fragrance may soften and the wood will require rehydrating, to refresh it, lightly mist with water and allow it to rest. The natural camphor scent will gently return. Show more
