The essential tool for every gardener. This substantial Hand Trowel is built for digging and planting. Its blade tapers from 4" wide to a sharp point with knife-sharp curved edges. Hand-forged from durable saw steel, it maintains a good edge, even in rocky or sandy soils. The top of the shank is hammered square and inserted 3" deep into a long-ferruled hickory handle, then securely riveted in place. The trowel shank has an offset to prevent scraping knuckles when scooping and digging. Coated in a clear gloss enamel finish to protect from rust. Grinder marks and accent polishing are distinctive to each handcrafted tool; expect variation in finishes and smaller variations in sizes, angles, and parts. Hand made in Portland, Oregon area.
