Phries, the Aussie producer, releases his third LP, Hand Cut. The 2XLP features collaborations with stateside artists like Guilty Simpson and The Artifacts, as well as a reunion wi th Mount Vernon's Carta' P. Phries' sample-based production, inspired by J Dilla, Pete Rock, and Madlib, captures the essence of hip-hop. All samples on the album were found at local record shops in his hometown of Perth.
