Founded by Kylie (she/her), each piece is handmade with functionality in mind. If you meet us at a market you will likely also see her other half, Hunter (he/him), who helps with the heavy lifting (haha), moral support, and the selling. Uprooted Vegan was born due to the pandemic closures, when Kylie lost her job working as a soil science technician while getting her B.S. in Natural Resources. When COVID-19 "uprooted" her from her field, she decided to start back up making pottery from home.
