Each bird is shaped by hand, and no two are ever the same. Suspended in air, these delicate sculptures capture a moment of stillness in flight. Made from iron mesh, they appear wei ghtless, yet hold a quiet strength. Because every piece is handmade, each bird may vary slightly in size and expression, a reflection of the process, the material, and the moment it was created. To ensure that you feel completely confident in what you’re receiving, I’ll send you a photo during the creation process, as well as an image of the finished bird, for your approval before it is shipped. Before it leaves my studio, I photograph the finished work and share the image with you for approval, so you can be confident that the sculpture you receive reflects your expectations. Displaying your sculptureBecause the mesh is transparent, the background plays an important role. For striking contrasts, a solid-colored backdrop works beautifully. But feel free to experiment—the sculpture transforms as the light shifts throughout the day.
