Ha'Penny Rhubarb Gin is a refreshing and distinctively pink small-batch pot-distilled gin from Pearse Lyons Distillery in Dublin, Ireland. It builds upon the base of their Ha'Penny Dublin Dry Gin, infused with fresh rhubarb juice after distillation, alongside the original 13 botanicals. This natural approach avoids artificial coloring and flavoring. It is typically bottled at 40-41% ABV. Tasting Notes: Nose: A fresh rhubarb bouquet with discernible notes of juniper and citrus, followed by subtle hints of botanical spice. Palate: Initially presents fresh rhubarb with a bright botanical mix, rounding to a pleasant classic resinous juniper-forward gin. Finish: Offers a silky palate with a lingering crisp and fresh rhubarb finish. Awards and Recognition: Gold at the Gin Masters (2022) - Country Winner, Flavoured Gin (Ireland). Gold at the World Gin Awards (2020) - Country Winner, Best Flavoured Gin. Gold at the World Gin Awards (2019) - Best Flavoured Gin. Silver at the Gin Masters (2019, 2018) - Flavoured. Bronze at the World Gin Awards (2024, 2021) - Flavoured Gin. Gold Medal / 95pts at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) (2020). Overall Impression: Ha'Penny Rhubarb Gin is a well-regarded flavored gin that successfully marries the classic gin botanicals with the bright, sweet, and tart character of fresh rhubarb. Its natural pink hue and refreshing flavor profile make it a delightful choice for both casual sipping and creative mixology. It is particularly recommended with premium tonic water and a wedge of orange to complement its fruity and citrus notes.
