[Shop all Light Roasts, Medium Roasts, and Dark Roasts] Haraaz Region, Collection Center Dried: Coffee cherries are carefully sun-dried at a centralized collection center (in contrast to drying at the farm). The result is bigger beans, tending towards more fruity flavor. MEDIUM roast / Haraaz Region: Classic, balanced and toasty, with a dash of citrus, stewed fruit, and wine. Origin Notes: HARAAZ is one of the most famous coffee regions of Yemen. Haraaz is nestled between the Hajjah, Raymah, Hayma, and Bura regions, respectively to the north, south, east and west. If you can imagine a quintessential or signature Yemen flavor, the result would be akin to Haraazi coffee: traditional and rustic, but not overly so; a bit dry, tannic, mocha, and/or winey, but not overly so; and balanced, even keeled, and familiar. Future Roasts (will return in 2025): LIGHT roast / Haraaz Region: Sweet, traditional, and soaring—with a gentle, raspberry/winey ferment. MED-DARK roast / Haraaz Region: Tantalizing flavor, with dry cocoa turned up to maximum, and roasty deliciousness that dances across the pallet. (In between a Medium and a Dark roast.) DARK roast / Haraaz Region: Bold and creamy, with notes of dry cocoa. A perfectly balanced dark roast. EXTRA-DARK roast / Haraaz Region: We've taken our usual dark roast, but gone even darker. Expect a more punchy, full-throated, extra-dark flavor. (In comparison to the usual Dark roast, the intensity is higher and the creaminess is lower.)
