If the Fire Extinguisher is going to be used for a business then your building or vehicle needs to be compliant to NZS-4503:2005 for Hand Operated Fire Fighting Equipment (HOFFE). This requires a site-visit every 12 months to make sure you have the correct size, type and amount of extinguishers for your premises. Also that they are in the correct location with the correct signage. They are then certified and a Detailed Fire Register Report issued as proof of testing.
