Hard Left / Bad Daddies- Split 7”. Hard Left are a hard mod/oi band featuring members who have been involved with Punk and DIY community for nearly a century combined, including fo rmer members of Lunchbox, Boyracer and Black Tambourine along with the owner of Slumberland Records. Hard Left wear their politics on their sleeves and hearken back to the early days of punk to tell stories about NOW and to motivate the listeners. Total thumping hard edged Pub Rock/OI similar to bands like Business, Sham 69, Slaughter & The Dogs and Angelic Upstarts. Maximum Rock'n'Roll favourites Bad Daddies are from Northern California and this is their 6th 7inch release. Think Riot Grrl for the new millennium. They seem to sincerely lack any inhibitions when it comes to trying new things and how they should sound. Vocalist Camylle has totally challenged what I expect to hear from a front woman. The closest comparison that comes to mind is Poly Styrene with her extremely feminine shrieks about being boxed in by society. Check out their other singles as well. Bad Daddies are great. Show more
