Hareline Flashabou is a versatile fly-tying mylar tinsel designed to add bright, lifelike flash and marabou-like movement to streamers, saltwater flies, nymphs and dry-fly wings. As a lightweight flash material for fly tying, Hareline Flashabou adds attraction without bulk and is a go-to choice for both freshwater and saltwater patterns. Key Features Mylar Tinsel: Thin, reflective strands that catch light to imitate baitfish and insect shimmer. Marabou-Like Action: Flexible strands move naturally in water for added attraction. Wide Color Range: Available in metallics, pearls, mirage and translucent shades for custom builds. Versatile Uses: Ideal for streamer bodies, tails, ribbing, wings and saltwater patterns. Compact & Lightweight: Small packaged size fits into tying kits and tackle boxes for on-the-go tying. Fly tiers rely on Hareline Flashabou because it layers cleanly with marabou, chenille and dubbing and can be used as a body wrap, tail or wing. It pairs well with UV resins and epoxies for durable, finished flies and works across saltwater and freshwater recipes. Hareline Flashabou is particularly effective in streamer patterns where flash and subtle motion imitate small baitfish or attract attention in stained water.
