Created for modern primary classrooms, this free teacher resource supports meaningful learning through practical, easy-to-use design. Our printable teacher resources and classroom decor are intentionally created to save time, support routines, and create spaces where students and teachers can thrive. This activity is designed to help students understand that we are all very different, yet everyone belongs. Once you have completed the below activity, display the hands and lettering in your classroom space. How this teacher resource works: Give each student an A4 or A3 printed hand. You will notice that you can choose from a numbered left and right hand or a blank left and right hand. Using the blank hand (older grades): Students mix paint to match (as closely as possible) the colour of their skin. Using this colour, they paint one of the given templates. Once dry, students write something unique about themselves on each of the fingers. Students write their name in the centre of the hand. Using the numbered hand (lower grades): Students mix paint to match (as closely as possible) the colour of their skin. Using this colour, they paint one of the given templates. Students repond to the numbers in the following way: Student's name Cultural heritage Favourite sport/hobby Favourite colour Something unique (e.g. blue and green eyes, collects stamps etc.) Please note: examples of skin tones may include but are not certainly not limited to these examples. Format: PDF Gifted and Talented Teacher creates teacher resources designed to lighten the load and classroom decor that lifts the room.
