Like musical notes that have come to life, native and cultivated flowers bring a harmony of colours singing across the canvas. When I was gathering flowers for this piece I also th ought of the American poet Maya Angelou’s quote: “‘Prepare yourself so that you can be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.” So, I created a floral rainbow singing in a harmony of hues.
