Originally from France, these roses are now cultivated on the high-altitude plateau of Shangri-La, Yunnan (2,400 meters above sea level). The region offers abundant sunshine, plentiful water, and a pollution-free, purely organic environment. These roses are warm in nature and sweet in taste, rich in anthocyanins and tannins. We select nutrient-rich "first-flush" roses harvested in April, when every bud is plump and full. Having absorbed abundant snowmelt and nutrients throughout the winter, these first-flush roses possess superior natural nutritional value. We harvest semi-opened blossoms between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM—when nutrient content is highest—and transport them via cold chain to a dormancy chamber within one hour of picking.
