Meet Harvey, the very first artwork created for ATTY’s Animal Explosion series and named after our 18-year-old geriatric cat, whom we adopted that same year. This is how I like to imagine my new furry friend might have looked in his prime: proud, magnificent and considerably less geriatric. Harvey was created with a deliberately blurred, 3D visual effect rather than my usual sharper technique. The result gives the artwork its distinctive sense of movement and depth — while also making me question my eyesight throughout the entire process.
