The Harvey Wallbanger cake is a classic yellow cake infused with the flavors of the namesake cocktail that inspired it. The Harvey Wallbanger cocktail was first made in the 1950s a nd consists of a screwdriver topped with Galliano L'Autentico*, an Italian liqueur with a golden yellow color and hints of vanilla and spices. The drink gained popularity in the 1970s disco era and the cake recipe was developed. This Harvey Wallbanger cookie is reminiscent of this yellow cake dessert and topped with an orange glaze.
