Fast growing shrub known for fruit often used medicinally, in baked goods, wines, and jams. This variety has large, abundant clusters of fruit that is bluish black when ripe. Decid uous, grows 8-10 feet tall, and hardy to 20 degrees F. Early-blooming. European elderberries are semi-self fertile; plant with another early or mid season variety for heavier yields.
