Hatfield Forest has kept its old trees standing close enough that their fungus colonies eventually meet, one bracket shelf reaching the edge of another, the boundary between them barely visible once both have fully spread. This rug repeats that same meeting point: three radiating caps fused into a single elongated form, each one centred on its own off-centre point, the scalloped outline recording where one shape gives way to the next rather than disguising it. Hand-tufted by the weavers of Jaipur, the wool is carved to two distinct pile heights, holding its structure through relief alone. Given the fused, irregular silhouette, sizing here is necessarily bespoke. Beneath a Georgian cornice or bare concrete, it reads as a small ecosystem rather than a single motif. In a Notting Hill study, it keeps that sense of gathered, overlapping growth in plain sight.
