'Haxan' Director: Benjamin Christensen (1922) + 'Witchcraft Through the Ages' (1968) Restoration. A hugely imaginative exploration of medieval superstitions and beliefs using drama tisations of rituals, pure fiction and animation. Satanic activities and the torture methods used on suspected witches feature which resulted in controversy and protest on the film's release.
