What Size Bracket Should I Use? NOTE: Ideally you want no more than 2" of unsupported surface extending past the end of your bracket. Never go more than 4" past the end of the bracket. Example: If your Vanity is 21” Deep (21” – 2” = 19”) You’d want to go with an 18” deep bracket. These vanity support brackets are typically spaced 24" - 32" inches apart. Or 1 bracket per wall stud @ 24" OC framing, and 1 bracket every other wall stud @ 16" OC framing. Your average vanity measuring 48" wide will require at least 2 brackets. Larger vanities 60" Wide should have 3 Brackets or more to provide adequate support.
