Introducing the PEFI Heavy-Duty Chain Tensioner—a complete redesign of the factory tensioner system that eliminates the common weaknesses of the OEM components while making chain adjustment faster, easier, and more precise than ever before. Note: The OEM chain roller is not compatible with the PEFI Heavy-Duty Tensioner. Chain Tension Adjustment Tighten the adjustment bolt by hand until it bottoms against the tensioner. Back the bolt out one full turn. Hold the adjustment bolt in position and tighten the lock nut. This procedure provides the proper chain clearance while allowing the spring-loaded tensioner to operate exactly as designed.
