The HEAD Gravity MP is a premier performance tennis racket designed for aggressive modern players and intermediate to advanced ball strikers who prioritize a highly connected feel, absolute control, and arm-friendly flex. Weighing 295 grams unstrung, this frame provides easy acceleration from the baseline for heavy shot-making alongside user-friendly handling and structural stability at the net. The racket features a distinctive rounded, teardrop head shape that creates an enormous, forgiving sweet zone. This geometric optimization raises the widest section of the string bed toward the upper hoop, accommodating the modern impact zone to prevent a hollow response on off-center hits. Torsional stability and ball feedback are driven by advanced Auxetic 2.0 technology integrated into the yoke and handle structure. This material innovation actively responds upon ball impact to optimize the frame's flex, providing real-time sensory feedback and a plush feel. The frame incorporates a thin 22mm flat beam with a slightly lower stiffness profile compared to previous generations, maximizing ball pocketing and dwell time for controlled power. Precision targeting is achieved through a specialized 16x20 string pattern that offers excellent directional accuracy while remaining open enough to generate heavy spin. Additionally, integrated Half-Cap technology wraps the upper hoop to enhance structural durability while dampening vibrations and generating a crisp, signature acoustic sound.
