Back in on vinyl for this classic. Hancock already had an acclaimed career before taking a slight detour in the early 70's. Headhunters, however, was something different: a strippe d-down date featuring reedman Bennie Maupin as the only horn player, and a funk-oriented rhythm section made up of Paul Jackson, Harvey Mason, and Bill Summers.
