Koch-Chemie Headlight Polish Set — the two-step kit that gives yellowed, matt headlights a clear view again. With perfectly coordinated polishes and pads, an optimal surface is created in just two steps, and one set processes a total of about 50 headlights. Headlight Polish 2 carries carnauba waxes that seal the lens as you polish, so there's no separate sealing step to buy or apply. The set contains: 250 mL Headlight Polish 1 — removes scratches and sanding scratches from P1000 grit 250 mL Headlight Polish 2 — high-gloss step with carnauba sealing component Heavy Cut Pad 76 × 23 mm Lambskin Pad 80 mm Thermo Pad 76 × 23 mm — thermochromic, changes colour as a temperature indicator Abralon sandpaper in 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 grit Hand block with Velcro for manual sanding Clean the headlight and mask surrounding panels. Depending on weathering, sand with 1,000 → 2,000 → 4,000 grit using the hand block or an eccentric machine until evenly sanded, skipping this if only lightly matt. Remove sanding traces with Headlight Polish 1 on the Heavy Cut or lambswool pad — rotary at medium speed and medium pressure, crosswise. Polish to high gloss with Headlight Polish 2 and the Thermo Pad, same technique. All components can also be bought separately. Watch the heat. PMMA headlamps are a transparent thermoplastic and are temperature sensitive — during sanding and polishing the surface must not exceed 40–45°C. That's what the Thermo Pad's colour change is telling you. Check your local legal requirements for headlight processing before use.
