This is a two-color pallet image built by capturing 200 individual pictures (each picture was a 5-minute exposure) through my telescope over several weeks. Once I had the 200 frames, I loaded them into my computer and stacked them into one single large master image, resulting in very complex structures and bright details that truly take you on a journey through time and space. The black and white image was then color-matched by linking each of the two molecular gasses to certain colors. Here, I linked all Oxygen-III gas in the image to blue, and all Hydrogen-Alpha gas in the image to red. This is what the nebulae are mostly made up of, and the result truly shows. Onside these two nebulae, stars like our own Sun are being born, stellar winds from nearby hot blue stars are pushing outwards into the clouds, creating stunning shapes and structures, and the molecules of gas and dust will continue to evolve over millions of years, birthing new suns, possible creating life that we may never know exists, all while we peer through our telescopes and cameras, thinking of the great unanswered questions that embody such majestic objects. This heart and soul may never know, but we will always understand and know of it;s beauty. I hope this took you out on an otherworldly adventure, and continues to bring joy to your days for the rest of your life.
