Heat Pack Precision Seed Germination Heater The Heat Pack Seed Germination Heater is a compact USB-C-powered heat source designed to provide adjustable warmth during seed germination. It forms the thermal core of the Seed Starter system and is designed to pair with compatible Seed Starter silicone germination chambers. An integrated temperature sensor monitors surrounding conditions and adjusts heat output to help maintain the selected setting. This gives growers greater control than relying only on room temperature or a standard, non-regulated heat mat. Adjustable Temperature Control Heat Pack allows the temperature to be adjusted from 20°C to 35°C in 1°C increments. The default setting is 27°C. This adjustable range helps growers select a suitable temperature for different seed varieties. Germination requirements vary by species, so always follow the recommended temperature range for the seeds being started. Example temperature ranges include: Plant Suggested Germination Temperature Tomatoes 24–29°C Peppers 26–30°C Basil 24–28°C Lettuce 18–22°C How the Heat Pack Works The Heat Pack contains an integrated temperature sensor that monitors the surrounding environment and regulates heat output. Its CNC-machined aluminum core distributes warmth across the heating surface, while the compatible silicone chamber helps retain warmth around the seed and reduce rapid temperature changes. When used together, the Heat Pack and silicone chamber support three important environmental factors involved in germination: Suitable temperature Balanced moisture Passive airflow CNC-Machined Aluminum Heating Core The Heat Pack is manufactured from thermally conductive aluminum to distribute warmth efficiently across its surface. The aluminum body is protected with an electrophoretic and powder-coated finish for durability during repeated use. The compact design delivers targeted warmth directly to the compatible germination chamber rather than heating a large propagation area. USB-C Powered Design Heat Pack uses low-voltage USB-C power and can be connected to a compatible power adapter. For recommended performance and product longevity, use the power supply specified in the product manual. The manufacturer currently recommends an Apple 5V/20W USB-C power adapter. A power adapter is not included unless specifically stated in the product options or package contents. Designed for Seed Starter Silicone Chambers Heat Pack is designed to fit compatible Seed Starter silicone germination and propagation chambers, including the Sprout Silicone Seed Germination Chamber. The silicone chamber surrounds the heating core and helps retain warmth while supporting moisture management and passive airflow. Its modular design allows the Heat Pack to be used with compatible chamber configurations as the Seed Starter system develops. For a complete setup, explore the Sprout + Heat Pack Seed Germination Kit. Adjusting the Temperature To change the temperature: Press the + or − button. Each press changes the setting by 1°C. The indicator light flashes once after each adjustment. Stop when the desired temperature is reached. Three flashes confirm that the setting has been saved. Memory Function Heat Pack stores the most recently selected temperature. When power is disconnected and restored, the unit returns to the previous saved setting, reducing the need to reconfigure it after each power cycle. Resetting the Default Temperature To return the Heat Pack to its default setting of 27°C: Press and hold the + button for six seconds. Release the button when the indicator light begins flashing rapidly. Three flashes confirm that the temperature has been reset. Installation To install the Heat Pack: Insert it into a compatible Seed Starter silicone chamber. Confirm that the unit is seated securely. Align the USB-C opening in the chamber with the port on the Heat Pack. Connect the USB-C cable and compatible power adapter. Confirm that the indicator light illuminates. The unit will begin warming toward the saved temperature setting. Care and Safety To maintain the Heat Pack: Do not submerge it in water. Keep the USB-C port, buttons, and indicator light dry. Disconnect the unit before cleaning. Wipe it gently with a damp cloth when necessary. Do not use isopropyl alcohol or harsh chemical solvents. Inspect the power cable and adapter before use. Follow the complete product manual and safety instructions.
