While being extremely durable, the 2-Chained Heavy Duty Chain Knocker is an excellent choice for plumbing professionals who needs a descaling tool with balanced flexibility and descaling power for hard metal pipes. With the double hub design and two chains it can reach some hard-to-reach areas while still being able to descale effectively. This 2-Chained option might navigate through most bends but struggles with some tight bends. How does it perform compared to other chain knocker options? In comparison this 2-Chained option offers a slightly broader cleaning surface with the cost of flexibility than 1-Chained option and a bit more flexibility with slightly lesser descaling speed than the 3-Chained option. For maximum flexibility, with the cost of cleaning surface we recommend considering Mini Chain or the 1-Chained option. If you mostly have straight line with barely any bends we highly recommend considering the 3-Chained option to speed things up. We still recommend having at least one flexible option with you than the 3-Chained. Excellent durability & great descaling power Like all the other Heavy Duty Chain Knockers, this 2-Chained model is also equipped with robust Croco-shaped tips and are considered the most durable chain knockers available for hard metal pipe descaling while having slightly less descaling power than the Medium Duty Chains. Overall Heavy Duty Chains are suitable for hard pipes like Cast Iron, Galvanized Steel Pipes, Orangeburg Pipes, Vitrified Clay Pipes (VCP), Terracotta/Clay Sewer Pipes and other hard material pipes. While we recommend this chain knocker for these kinds of hard metal pipes, please always check that the overall condition of the pipe to avoid using too aggressive chain to the task. If you are unsure that the pipe will withstand the descaling power, please choose more gentle option like Light Duty Chain Knocker, Circular Chain Knocker or Gentle Duty Brush. We do not recommend Heavy Duty Chain Knockers for PVC or other soft material pipes due to its aggressive nature. Some experienced professionals may find it suitable for challenging tasks in PVC, but caution is advised to avoid potential damage. For PVC cleaning purposes we recommend considering Light Duty or Gentle Duty options.
