This system uses a rear or front direct-drive hub motor, chosen for its strength, simplicity, and ability to handle sustained loads without internal wear. Direct-drive motors have no internal gears or clutches, making them ideal for heavier riders, cargo, and recumbent trikes that see continuous use under load. This system pairs the heavy-duty motor with a 48V battery to deliver strong torque and a controlled 20 mph top speed. Configuration note: This kit can be configured with either a front wheel or a rear wheel motor.
