The octagonal Hegi Tray is made by hand-splitting mature paulownia wood, resulting in a textured surface. This technique creates an incredibly lightweight tray that celebrates the organic material. It also uses the traditional sashimono joinery technique, meaning the Hegi Tray is assembled without the use of metal nails or screws. Use it as a serving, catchall, tea, or bathroom tray.
