HELD IN LIGHT 2026 Oil on canvas 100 x 80 cm Signed: Malin Sahlén HELD IN LIGHT is an intuitive abstract landscape exploring the feeling of being surrounded, carried and gently held by light. The painting opens through deep green tones, soft reflections and a luminous golden centre. The surrounding nature feels alive and protective, while the waterlike surface in the middle creates a quiet space of reflection and stillness. Small points of light move through the composition like seeds, stars or energy particles, giving the work a sense of life and quiet vibration. Vertical traces descend through the painting, creating a connection between above and below, sky and earth, the visible and the unseen. The work carries a peaceful, spiritual presence. It speaks of nature as a sanctuary, a place where light is not only seen, but felt. The glowing centre becomes like a source, a heart or an inner sun, reminding the viewer of the warmth and clarity that can be found within. HELD IN LIGHT invites the viewer into a calm and contemplative space, where the landscape becomes a place of protection, presence and inner connection. A reminder that we are held by something larger, by nature, by stillness and by the light that lives within everything.
