My friend Helen suggested that the textured motif in my Squish Me hat pattern would be perfect for the pair of comfy, slouchy socks she was wanting—what could I say except, “You got it, Helen”. And so this top-down sock was conceived, with four sizes (XS/S/M/L) to fit just about anyone we know. With a quick and easy knit/purl motif, making them for gifts is a pleasure (and putting oneself on the gift list is not at all unreasonable). Suggested Yarns: Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, or any springy sock blend with 400-425 yards per 4 ounces.
