This new Heliopsis is kind of a big deal. It is the first cultivar of its kind to have no yellow on its flowers. These gorgeous flowers look absolutely stunning as they sit overtop green/bronze/chocolate foliage. It is a long blooming native plant that makes excellent cut flowers from early summer to fall. If you like floral arrangements we consider this flower a must - as you have an excellent orange option all summer and fall. Just save some for your butterflies and bees so they have access to this consistent source of food. We love Heliopsis because it provides you with so many options! It is an excellent tall perennial that can be used in the middle or back of a flower borders, it works great in mass plantings and with its ornamental foliage it is a real workhorse in the garden. Pair it with Helenium or Coneflower for an amazing late-summer/fall butterfly garden. You can also use Helenium in combination containers and in naturalized areas to feed your butterflies and pollinators. Photo Credit: Walter Gardens
