Guitarist Herb Ellis is a fan of this recording, which saw him reunite with his previous collaborator, Oscar Peterson. The latter's trio of the period--comprising bassist Sam Jones and drummer Bobby Durham--were also present, elevating the vibe to a jam session feel.
