Signed by the author/artist, two-time Caldecott Medalist Sophie Blackall, with a small drawing of a whale and her hand-captioned "Hello!" coming from both the Lighthouse above the title and the steamship below it. First edition. 2019 Caldecott Medalist. A luminous tribute to a steadfast lighthouse and its reassuring light, lovingly told and illustrated by this celebrated, two-time Caldecott Medalist. Blackall's lovely, glowing illustrations were painted in watercolor and Chinese ink on hot-press paper.
