Some early visitors to Helvellyn were the poets Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth, who lived nearby at the time. At it's highest point, Helvellyn is around 950m above sea level; hikers who make it to the summit are rewarded with breathtaking views across virtually the whole of the Lake District. Taking inspiration from the railway travel posters of the 1920's and 30's, local Lake District artist Lloyd Hopkinson has created this perfect memento of a visit to the lakes.
