These fabulous fellows are actually a group of slightly different species all belonging to the 'Ammonoid' family, which in cludes Ammonites, Goniatites and Ceratites, the different patterns on their shells giving clues as to which species each one belonged to. These creatures which originally lived under the sea, have been fossilised and replaced by Hematite.
