Hennessy VS (Very Special) is the most widely sold cognac in the world. Maison Hennessy was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy in Cognac, France, and VS is the entry-level expression in their lineup. The blend uses eaux de vie from the four premier crus of Cognac: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. The youngest component is aged at least two years in Limousin oak.On the nose: fresh toast, roasted almond, and brown sugar with subtle fruit aromas. On the palate: rich and creamy with vanilla and a fresh, floral finish.Hennessy VS works well in cocktails (Sidecar, Hennessy and ginger ale, Brandy Alexander) or on the rocks.
