A fine example of proper Sancerre. Elegant with pale golden hues, a lovely floral perfume and an intense yet restrained palate that's marked with a cleansing minerality and mouth-w atering burst of clean citrus. As climates warm, traditionally very austere, brightly acidic wines like Sancerre are having no choice but to soften. It's still Loire Sauvignon Blanc, so there is inevitably still a lovely thread of acidity and mineral crunch to the wine, but warm vintages and six months in large, old oak 'foudres' give the wine more weight and texture.
