Herbalism is for everyone & can be incorporated into our everyday lives super easily while we also get to enjoy the medicine the herbs share & offer to us. In this two part class, my goal is to alow you to feel comfortable bringing herbs into your home & kitchen, building a relationship with them, learning & experiencing them, and deepening into your own herbal recipes & relationship. We’ll dive into common herbs & their properties, sourcing & growing ourselves, working with fresh vs dried herbs, ways to extract, intake & incorporate herbs, share recipes, and learn + practice extraction methods for herbal extractions : water, oil & alcohol extractions & their functions/ uses. In total we’ll: Make a nourishing herbal infusion tea & enjoy it Craft our own tea blend + enot it Make & strain an herbal oil infusion & go over ways to enjoy this preparation. Go over making salves, you’ll get to make your own, and we’ll discuss ways to utilize this preparation. We’ll make an alcohol extraction, sample tinctures, and discuss other non alcoholic alternatives. We’ll have some herbs for you to take home for you to work with at home. A compiled years of learning, practice, deepening with the herbs, working with & experiencing them, growing herbs, sharing herbal products we make ourselves, into this intimate hands on, visual & oral class as we show up as students, caretakers & in relationship with creation. You’ll leave this class inspired, ready to start working with herbs & making your own herbal goods! By the end of these two part sessions, you’ll have completed our comprehensive notebook we provide, going over each topic of discussion & filling in parts yourselves. You’ll make herbal tea, herbal oils, herbal salves, and herbal tinctures, and leave with all of these products you’ve made yourself, along with some herbs for you to work with at home. We offer this annually as a 1:1 session, Madison will teach the workshop, provide the materials, offer assistance and is there to answer any questions. The other party does not necessarily need to be one individual person, it can be a party. Upon booking more details about the workshop will be shared, the workshop location, we will schedule a date to do the workshop, and let me know how many persons will be attending in your party.
