Have you always wanted to try foraging but not sure if you’re going up the right track? We have invited Abi a qualified herbalist and horticulturalist to lead this workshop. Lammas Herb Walk & Introduction to Herbal Medicine. Celebrate Lammas, the first harvest, by meeting the medicinal plants that flourish in abundance at this turning of the year. We’ll take a gentle, unhurried walk through the landscape, pausing to greet and identify a range of native medicinal herbs. Along the way, you’ll learn how these plants support health, how to recognise them safely, and how they’ve been used in traditional and modern herbal practice. After our walk, we return to the Potting Shed for an introduction to the art and science of herbal medicine. You’ll explore the foundations of making simple remedies, taste herbs as teas, and begin to understand how plant chemistry, seasonal rhythms, and hands‑on connection shape the medicines we create. A warm, grounded way to honour the season and deepen your relationship with the plants that grow all around us.
