A fine example of a design classic. The Model 1227 dated from 1938-1968. This is an earlier one, so probably 1930s/1940s, with a great art deco feel. (You can tell it's an earlier one by the shade being rolled outwards at the bottom of the shade, for example - later ones didn't have this.) This fine quality lamp has been lovingly restored and rewired with official Model 1227 parts from Anglepoise themselves - a new bulb holder, grommets, switch, vintage-style cable and plug.
