This course will discuss the latest on immune theories and information in the context of herbal actions. Learn how herbs can affect specific cytokines and modulate cell-mediated re sponses. This information will then be applied to clinically relevant conditions such as autoimmune disease, allergy, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, cancer and inflammation. Original data on herbal function as measured in peripheral blood lymphocytes will also be presented. Theories on the actions of anti-inflammatory herbs will be included.
