COST PER NIGHT 2 people = £1203 - 4 people = £185 Reindeer herding is still a major source of livelihood for some tribes. The days were long, the work hard and the drinks would flow as they told tales by the light of the fire. Herder’s huts, whilst still popular in the Arctic, are virtually unheard of in the UK, making this a unique and memorable place to enjoy a taste of the outdoors. Based on the Sami Reindeer Herder’s Hut, this quirky cabin is full of character and very cosy. Once inside it’s hard to remember you’re not in Lapland! The design incorporates an internal fire and barbecue for cooking and keeping warm in those Arctic nights. One bag of fuel is provided for your stay, further bags are chargeable. The hut can sleep four and, as well as bedding, we like to think we’ve got most things covered, from cutlery, to water, to a coolbox. It’s hard to remember you’re on a campsite with showers, a bar and people within reach. Guests can now take advantage of the newly refurbished gym or relax in the sauna for an additional £10 per person.
