Here Comes A City presents an intimate abstraction in which blocks of colour assemble across the surface like emerging architecture. Despite its modest scale, the composition carries a quiet structural ambition. Rectangular and irregular forms intersect and overlap, suggesting fragments of buildings, streets, and sky just beginning to align. The brushwork remains visible and tactile — paint is pushed, scraped, and layered rather than polished — reinforcing the sense of something in formation rather than fully resolved. Areas of muted grey and white act as atmospheric space, while stronger passages of ultramarine and warm orange anchor the composition, hinting at mass and volume. The small scale invites close viewing, and from that proximity the city does not appear fully defined; instead, it feels as though it is surfacing. The title subtly guides interpretation: this is not a fixed skyline, but a moment of emergence, as if urban structure is just beginning to come into focus through memory or mist.
