This beautiful domed Sterling Silver pendant has a delicate etched design and is set with a stunning Hessonite Garnet. It is worn on an 18" chain which is suspended from a hidden b ale on the back which has a satin finish. Hessonite, a variety of garnet, is prized for its orange or brownish red hues. It's sometimes nicknamed the "cinnamon stone" for this reason. Etching involves printing a design onto a piece of solid silver which produces a surface resist and then using an etching solution to selectively remove silver. This results in intricate, textured designs on the surface of the jewellery. Approximate dimensions: 35mm (h) x 35mm (w) Hallmarked by the London Assay Office on the back.
