Heuchera 'Amber Waves', which won the "Best New Plant" Award for 2001 at the largest UK nursery trade show, emerges with heavily ruffled, golden new foliage that changes to a burnished orange as the leaves age, echoing the fall coloration of leaves on the trees. The light rose flowers that top the plant in spring create quite a stirring combination with the foliage...they stir some folks to grab the clippers.
