Ruby Bells Heuchera (Heuchera sanguinea 'Ruby Bells') is a classic, refined coral bells perennial that delivers a spectacular two-season show — first with a flush of elegant, deep ruby-red bell-shaped flowers on tall, wiry stems in late spring and early summer, and then with a season-long display of attractive, lobed, deep green foliage mounded at the base. The rich jewel-tone of the blooms is among the deepest and most saturated of all Heuchera varieties, giving this time-honored perennial a freshness and vibrancy that holds up beautifully in the modern garden. These Professional Grade 4" plants are grown with heritage practices, developing compact, well-rooted crowns that establish quickly and naturalize reliably in a wide range of garden conditions. Ruby Bells Heuchera thrives in part shade to full sun and performs beautifully as a border edging plant, woodland garden specimen, shade garden accent, or container plant. Its deep green foliage remains an attractive, weed-suppressing groundcover throughout the season, long after the blooms have faded — delivering continuous landscape value well beyond the flowering period. Deep Ruby-Red Bell-Shaped Blooms on Tall Airy Stems: Produces a profusion of intensely colored, deep ruby-red flowers held on slender wiry stems well above the foliage mound — creating a luminous, airy floral display that catches the eye from a distance in borders and shade gardens. Outstanding Hummingbird & Pollinator Magnet: The tubular bell-shaped flowers are perfectly designed for hummingbirds and are also highly attractive to native bees, butterflies, and other long-tongued pollinators throughout the bloom season. Season-Long Attractive Foliage: The deeply lobed, semi-evergreen green foliage forms a tidy, attractive mound that provides effective ground-level coverage and weed suppression from spring through fall — offering visual interest well beyond the bloom period. Adaptable to Sun & Shade: One of the more sun-tolerant Heuchera varieties, Ruby Bells performs well in part shade to full sun — making it an exceptionally versatile perennial for mixed borders, woodland edges, and shaded patio containers alike. Cold Hardy, Long-Lived & Dependably Perennial: A reliable, long-lived perennial that returns season after season with consistent vigor, increasing in size and flowering performance over time — a true garden investment that delivers compounding returns. These 4" healthy live plants thrive in part shade to full sun with moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish; moderately drought tolerant once established. Hardy in USDA zones 3–8. Mature height in bloom: 18–24 inches; foliage mound: 8–12 inches; spread: 12–18 inches. Bloom time: May–July. Divide crowns every 3–4 years in early spring to maintain vigor and prevent the crown from heaving out of the soil over time.
