An abstract detail of the raw, powerful North Sea, photographed near Heugh Pier on Hartlepool’s historic Headland. Living by the coast, I’m constantly drawn to the sea. There’s som ething magnetic about it, and I feel compelled to try and capture the unique beauty of waves as they rise, crash, and collapse in a heartbeat. Each one exists for only a split second before it’s gone forever — never to be repeated, much like the fleeting moments of life itself. By focusing on these ephemeral details, the waves become a quiet metaphor for life: beautiful precisely because they don’t last.
