Somebody told me many years ago there are more ants on the planet than any other species. They come in many sizes and colours. This fly is typical of black ants that fall from tree s along the rivers edge. Left in its natural state in the shady areas of the river it would be very difficult to see. This pattern does not have this problem because of its mohawk hairdo. We have found it successful in backwater areas particularly if you have already tried a few other patterns without success.
