Hibari is a superlative matcha created of shincha (first flush) tencha from the southern region of Uji, Kyoto, the ancestral home of matcha. This usucha-style matcha (thin tea) is smooth and medium bodied, with a wonderfully grounding and steady energetic presence. Fresh, delicate notes of early spring grass spill forth from this blend of Samidori, Yabukita and Ujihikari cultivars. Hibari translates to "the skylark that sings in spring". This exceptional matcha is perfect at all times of the day, on its own or in a creamy latte and continues to be a best seller with a loyal following. Decidedly, a staff favorite.
